Burn Audio Disc

The purpose of this tool is to create and burn any set of audio files to an audio compact disk.

The main window of this program contains a toolbar, the files browser, a project editor, a sizebar and a statusbar. The project editor window occupies lower half of the main program window. The relative positions of the files browser window and of the project editor window can be changed via the View submenu in the main program menu.

At first it is necessary to prepare the project for burning a new audio compact disk. For this purpose audio files have to be added to the project editor in any convenient way. The files can be dragged from file browser window or any desktop folder. The file browser context menu item Add into the project, or the toolbar button can also be used.

All audio files that are supported by operating system can be understood by this tool.

Unnecessary tracks can be deleted from project dropping them into the shredder, or by using context menu of project editor, or the toolbar button.

Warning: During project preparation there are a temporary files whose total size can exceed hundreds megabytes. By default, the temporary files are stored in the system's temporary directory. Ensure your hard drive has enough free space. Location of the temporary directory can be changed via configuration tool.

Warning: All actions over the files in the project don't affect the files on hard drive.

The current duration of the project is calculated while adding tracks and is displayed in the sizebar. Detailed information is displayed in the statusbar. Here it is also possible to set the compact disk type.

Preparing tracks of the current project takes some time depending on size of the files in project. The preparation status is reflected by the special circular indicator at the right part of the sizebar.

After completion of the project preparation, the project can be burned to a compact disk.

Warning: Only CD-R and CD-RW disks are supported.
