For accelerated display you also need the S3 driver released by Compaq or a sliglty updated one that was available from S3, the SNAP final drivers are not all that fast but work fine. Note that the S3 installer is buggy and you will need to edit the svga ini file to change the resolution frequency to 65 for the driver to work correctly, the same problem plagues the 73xx line and the older aurora S3 chips.
The USB chip used in the 7400 is a Compaq one and is buggy
This computer runs all OS/2 versions except ecs 2x betas, appears to be a kernel incompatibility, but 1.2r2 works like a charm. |
