IBM ThinkPad T20

Marca: Buono

I installed eCS1.2 on my T20; more precisely, I migrated from 1.1 to 1.2. Everything went seamlessly as far as recognizing sound chips, and various drivers. It chose a generic networking chip type, but was happy to let me supply the more accurate information. Both IBM Webbrowser 2.0 and Mozilla 1.7 were operative when the install finished. My only complaint is that Peer services still do not work reliably....but that is probably due to the almost complete lack of uptodate, readable info specifically targeted to eCS. ( I guess most people use a TCP-derived local networking; I prefer not to, since there are no security issues that I know of with plain IBMPEERS) But the T20 seems very well supported.

Hello your article about installing eCs on your IBM Thinkpad T20 was interesting. What ISP do you use?

I recently bought a IBM T20tp and 'eComstation v1.2' and have no prior software versions so

I hope to have as much luck with the insallation as anxious moments await.

Thanks for sharing your information.
